Play With Purpose
Upward Basketball is a community basketball league for boys and girls in K - 12th grade along with a fundamental and instructional league for K-5th graders. Upward uses an evaluation/draft process to create teams with equal skills so that teams are not unequal when playing. The 6th-12th graders/players learn and improve their skills with 6th-12th grade modifications to reflect more traditional MS/HS game format! Upward uses a substitution system that allows every child adequate playing time, making it fair and fun for everyone involved.

General InformationRegistration opens September 3, 2024 Evaluations (pick ONE): 10/7/24 or 10/10/24 6-8 pm K4-5th grade boys and girls and 6th-12th grade girls Level 4 (6th-12th grade boys) Boys' Draft Saturday, 10/26/24 8:30-11 am Weekly practices begin 12/2/24 Games take place on Friday nights Level 4 (9-12th grade boys) and Saturdays for Level 4 (6th-8th grade boys and 6th-12th grade girls) Levels 1-3 Saturday only games (Grades K4-5th) Games begin the weekend of 1/3 and 1/4/25 Coaches will distribute Game Schedules at practice in December For more information, please contact: [email protected] |

PLEASE NOTE: CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY – We understand that there are times when families decide that they are not going to participate in Upward Sports. Please know that there is a lot of behind the scenes’ work that goes into preparing our coaches, rosters, ordering uniforms, and administration of this league. Our league is run based on the number of registrations that are received. To refund AFTER we have put together all of the league details, it is difficult to go back and have to rearrange what has already been prepared. Our Team has decided that after October 30, 2024, we will no longer issue refunds for any reason. We appreciate your understanding as we try to provide a positive environment for all of our volunteers and participants.
LATE PAYMENT POLICY - We understand that there are times when families get busy and forget to take care of the registration fee for their child. We send out 2 email reminders to our families regarding the registration fee. For this season, if we do not receive the payment by October 18, 2024, the spot will be forfeited and opened up to a player or cheerleader on our waiting list. If you need an extension, please contact the League Director at [email protected]. We appreciate your understanding as we look forward to having as many children as possible be a part of our league.
